The 6-8 center Tom Kondla earned All-Big Ten and All-America basketball honors in 1967, one of two years in which he was the Golden Gophers’ MVP.
With a career total of 1,350 points, he averaged 19.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the seventh round of the 1968 NBA draft, he elected to play one season of professional basketball with the ABA’s Houston Mavericks.
