As a volunteer and as a donor, Kathleen C. Ridder has made extraordinary contributions to the University of Minnesota Women's Athletics Department.

She has chaired several women's athletic department committees, including the Advisory Council and the women's athletic scholarship endowment of the Minnesota Campaign. She has also served on several University boards and has had numerous other non-profit affiliations

Ridder established the Kathleen C. Ridder scholarship in 1983, awarded annually to a female student-athlete working toward a degree in medicine, science, health science or math.
