  • Minnesota won its seventh national title with a 3-1 win against Boston College. It marked the third time in program history the team won back-to-back championships.
  • Sarah Potomak scored just 13 seconds into the game against the Eagles. Amanda Kessel and Kelly Pannek added third-period goals. Potomak was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
  • The Gophers advanced to the final with a 3-2 overtime win against Wisconsin in the national semifinal.
  • Potomak scored the overtime gamewinner at the 15:00 mark
  • Seniors Hannah Brandt, Brook Garzone, Amanda Kessel, Amanda Leveille, and Milica McMillen finished their careers with a record of 148-9-6 (.926).
  • Brad Frost became the winningest coach in program history with a 7-0 win against St. Cloud State in January.
  • Amanda Leveille finished her career as the NCAA all-time leader in both save percentage (.947) and winning percentage (.897).
  • Hannah Brandt finished her career as Minnesota's all-time leader in both points (285) and assists (170) and ranked second in Gopher history in career goals (115).
  • Amanda Kessel returned to college hockey after a two and a half year hiatus. She finished with 11 goals and six assists in 13 games. She finished her career second in school history with 246 points.
