Covid-19 campus

2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all winter and spring sports were canceled on March 12, 2020 for the remainder of the winter and spring athletic seasons.

2021
Gymnastics wins the Big Ten Championships for the first time in 15 years and places ninth at the NCAA Championships. The Gophers earn 11 All-America awards. Lexy Ramler is named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Year for a record third-straight season.

Cross Country finishes a program-best fifth place at the NCAA Championships and finishes second at the Big Ten Championships. Bethany Hasz wins the individual Big Ten title.

WCHA Champions

2022
With a 7-1 win against St. Thomas on the final day of the regular season, Women's Hockey clinched the program's 11th WCHA Championship and first since the 2018-19 season.

Bacon

2022
Sarah Bacon won her second straight 3-meter diving national championship and finished with five national titles in her decorated career, a record for Gopher female athletes. 

Taylor Heise became the third Golden Gopher in program history to win the Patty Kazmaier Award, given to the nation's top player.

Women's Track & Field captured its second straight Big Ten Indoor Championship. It was the program's sixth indoor and ninth overall title in program history.

McCutcheon

2022
Hugh McCutcheon announced that 2022 would be his last season coaching Gopher Volleyball. He led Minnesota to two Big Ten titles, three NCAA Final Four appearances and 10 NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure.

2023
One of the great track and field athletes in Minnesota history, Amira Young finished her career as a four-time Big Ten Champion and eight-time All-American.
