University of Minnesota Athletics
2026 Gymnastics Year in Review
>> Minnesota had a banner season, posting a program-best 30-13 (7-2 B1G) record. The Gophers made a historic run to Four on the Floor, becoming the lowest seeded team (13) to ever make it. The team finished with a WCGA Ranking of 4, another best in program's history.
>> Minnesota had a program-best six NCAA Championships All-Americans, including the second-ever national champion in school history with Brooklyn Rowray winning the balance beam title (9.9625).
>> The Golden Gophers advanced to nationals for the first time since 2022 with a second-place finish at the NCAA Corvallis Regional. Minnesota upset No. 5 Alabama and snapped Utah's streak of 49 straight trips to nationals.
>> Arianna Ostrum was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and captured the vault title at the league championships. She followed that with All-America honors on vault, beam and in All-Around. Ostrum also became the third Gopher freshman to earn WCGA All-America accolades.
