2025-26 Tennis Year in Review
>> Minnesota finished 11-16 overall and 1-12 in the Big Ten, including a 7-7 mark in home duals at Baseline Tennis Center. The Gophers reached double-digit dual wins in three straight seasons for the first time since 2020.
>> The Golden Gophers closed out the 2026 spring season with a 4-2 upset of No. 42 Nebraska. Minnesota's three singles victories came from a trio of seniors - Aiva Schmitz, Sofia Pinto and Arina Valitova - in their final home match.
>> Schmitz led the Golden Gophers with a 5-4 duals record at No. 1 singles, while junior Jeselle Ante paced Minnesota with 19 singles and 11 doubles victories. She also earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
>> Schmitz and Mia Liepert earned their second career CSC Academic All-District honors. Schmitz, Liepert, Ante, Nora Knezevic, Anali Kocevar, Yinong Ma, Sofia Pinto, Deniz Turan, Arina Valitova and Anlin Xie were B1G All-Academic selections.
