Power Play Club
Official Boosters of Gopher Women's HockeyThe Power Play Club is the official booster club of the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Women’s Hockey program.
The Power Play Club works closely with the coaching staff to raise money for the program priorities, promotes fan interest and enthusiasm for Gopher Women's Hockey through a social club environment and assists in promoting season and individual game ticket sales for Gopher Women’s Hockey with the objective of increasing attendance.
The club's fundraising efforts focus on helping to cover team expenses beyond the normal operating budget provided by the Gophers Athletics Department. Examples of these expenses include charter travel, special game uniforms, facility enhancements to Ridder Arena and many of the program’s team building activities.
The Power Play Club partners with the Golden Gopher Fund to support the program financially. Donations supporting the Power Play Club are directed to the Power Play Club Fund at the University of Minnesota Foundation. Contributions are 100% tax deductible and count towards Gopher Score and Gopher Score Rank. In addition to the membership benefits provided as a member of the Power Play Club, donors can also participate in a number of the benefits provided through the Golden Gopher Fund.
