2026 Men's Track & Field Year in Review

>> Bolstered by an NCAA Champion and 11 All-Americans, Minnesota finished in 18th place at the NCAA Championships. It was the Gophers' fifth top-20 finish in the last six years.

>> For the third time in the last four years, Minnesota finished in second place at the Big Ten Championships thanks in part to league titles from Angelos Mantzouranis, Charles Godfred and the 4x100m relay team.

>> Mantzouranis continued Minnesota's dominance in the hammer throw with his NCAA title performance. He also captured his second conference title in the event in the past three years en route to being named Big Ten Field Athlete of the Year.

>> Godfred became the first Big Ten athlete since 2014 to win three straight conference long jump titles. He also became the first three-time first-team All-American in any jumping event at Minnesota.

>> For the 10th time in his 13 seasons at Minnesota, Associate Head Coach Peter Miller earned USTFCCCA Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
