2026 Baseball Year in Review
>> The Golden Gophers finished the 2026 season with a 30-23 record and an 11-19 mark in the Big Ten. The 30 wins were a six-win improvement in Coach McDevitt's second season and the most since 2018.
>> In Ty McDevitt's first year as head coach, Minnesota notched a pair of top ten wins (#7 Oregon State, #9 Oregon), recorded its first conference and road sweep since 2019 and the program's longest win streak since 2018 (9 games).
>> Senior catcher Weber Neels capped his Golden Gopher career with first-team All-Big Ten honors after leading the team in batting average, OPS, slugging percentage, hit by pitches, and sacrifice flies. The two-time all-league honoree was also a second-team ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Midwest All-Region selection.
>> Neels joined Isaac Morton and Charlie Sutherland as all-conference performers. Morton was a second-team selection after finishing 4-2 with a 3.26 ERA and a team-best 63 strikeouts. Sutherland earned third-team honors after leading Minnesota in hits and RBIs.
