WHY MINNESOTA: "When entering the recruiting process, my initial mindset was like most kids from up north. I wanted to go down south and play somewhere where it was warm. I spent the first year only focusing on schools down south and schools that were in warm places. I saw that Minnesota was hosting a camp and I decided that why not give a school up here a chance and have an open mind to it. I walked in the doors and I instantly fell in love with it. The facilities were amazing and the coaching staff was extremely inviting. It had this sense of familiarity that I was looking for in a school. I was extremely impressed by the way they carried themselves and went about their job. After that day, I told my parents that this was the place. I didn't know for sure if they felt the same at the time, but I knew that this was the place for me. The campus, the academics and the facilities as well as the coaches checked every box I had and met every standard that I was looking for in a school. I grew up a Gophers fan and now I am extremely excited and humbled to become one."
