BEFORE MINNESOTA Saunders III graduated in 2022 from The Hill School in Pennsylvania · as a junior, he hit .417 at the plate · a three-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American, Saunders was ranked as the No. 232 player in the country by Perfect Game · he was also ranked No. 15 overall in the state of Pennsylvania · he's a three-time MLB Dream Series Participant and participated in the Perfect Game Underclass All-American Games and the Perfect Game Jr. National Showcase · in club ball, he played for Foundation Sports, a team that ranked in the top-100 in the country during his time there · he also considered Duke, USC, Kentucky, Miami, West Virginia, Georgetown, Penn State, Maryland, Eastern Kentucky and North Carolina Central in the recruiting process.
