2024 | REDSHIRT FRESHMAN Appeared in 15 games, making one start · slashed .182/.231/.182 with two hits and three runs scored. Game Highlights: Made his collegiate debut on Feb. 17 against Oregon State, scoring one run · collected his first career hit against Pacific (Mar. 3) · went 1-3 against Iowa in his first career start (Mar. 31).

BEFORE MINNESOTA A 2022 graduate of Greendale High School, Ellis has been a starter on Greendale's varsity team since his freshman year · as a freshman, he hit .286 with a .425 on-base percentage, driving in 14 runs with 13 runs scored · his sophomore season was canceled because of COVID-19, but he came back for his junior year with a bang · Ellis was selected as one of three team captains and hit .436 with three home runs, 28 RBI, 32 runs, eight doubles and 34 hits · also had a standout year as a pitcher, winning 2021 Woodland Conference Player of the Year after going 6-0 on the mound with a 1.67 ERA and 51 strikeouts · made the First Team Southeast All-District and All-State honorable mention for his performance as well · Greendale High School's team awarded him with the team's Cy Young, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove team awards · Prep Baseball Report ranks Ellis as the No. 1 middle infielder in the state of Wisconsin and the No. 22 player overall · also considered Purdue, Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky in the recruiting process.
PERSONAL Native of Greendale, Wisconsin · the son of Jodi and Joe Ellis, he also has an older sister, Morgan · undecided on what his major will be at Minnesota.
