Played for Alexandria High School under Forrest Witt and D1 Minnesota under former Gopher Jonathon Williams • led his Alexandria Cardinals to the back-to-back state tournaments • two-time Class AAA State Tournament Team selection • two-time team captain • with Alexandria, made the state tournament three times, including back-to-back fourth places • despite battling injuries his senior year, averaged 16.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks and shot 61.5 percent from the field • averaged 20 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.7 blocks per game as a junior • also shot 57.8 from the field, including 38.7 from three-point range • voted Alexandria's team MVP • multiple All-Central Lakes conference selection • as a sophomore, Grove averaged 12.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game as the Cardinals finished with a 23-6 record and a section title appearance • was also named one of the team's defensive players of the year • standout soccer player who earned all-conference honors • three-sport athlete in high school and also played baseball • had ankle surgery in the summer of 2023, forcing him to miss most of the AAU season.
