2022-23: GRADUATE STUDENT

  • Went 15-13 in his second season as Minnesota's starting 197-pounder
  • Became an NCAA qualifier for second time in his career, going 0-2 at the Championships
  • Took 8th Place at Big Ten Championships to earn second NCAA tournament bid.Ā 
  • Claimed six wins against ranked foes on the season.Ā 
  • Secured a 6-6 dual record in the regular season, going 4-4 in conference play for Minnesota.Ā 
  • Secured a buzzer-beating takedown on the edge to defeat returning NCAA finalist Jacob Warner (Iowa) by 2-1 decision (2/3)
  • Earned a 13-5 major decision over Hayden Filipovich (Purdue) to help Gophers clinch dual (1/22)
  • Defeated Nick Willham in overtime to help push Minnesota over Indiana (1/20)
  • Earned first Big Ten win of the season against #27 Andrew Davison (Northwestern) via 2-0 decision (1/7)
  • Went 2-1 at the Southern Scuffle at 197 pounds before defaulting out of the tournament due to injury
  • Bumped up to 197 pounds, and defeated #28 Luke Surber by 7-4 decision to help Gophers upset #5 Oklahoma State (12/4)
  • Won the Bison Open with a 3-0 record, defeating #26 Cade King (South Dakota State)Ā by 5-1 decision in the finals
  • Placed 2nd at Bison Open with a 2-1 record in first appearance at 184 pounds in his career
  • Only loss of Bison Open was a 6-1 decision to fellow Gopher teammate and 11th-ranked Isaiah Salazar in the finals
  • Ranked #22 in the preseason InterMat polls at 197 pounds
  • Made a U23 Greco-Roman World Team at 87-kilograms in the offseason after winning U23 World Team Trials.Ā 
  • Academic All-B1G Selection

2021-22: SENIOR

  • Went 15-14 in his first season with Minnesota
  • NCAA qualifer, going 0-2 in the championships
  • Placed 11th at Big Ten Championships to earn automatic bid for NCAA Championships
  • Earned three ranked wins on the season
  • Went 4-6 in dual competition, including 3-5 record in the Big Ten
  • Upset #21 Gavin Hoffman (Ohio State) by 5-2 decision in regular-season finale
  • Earned first career Big Ten win with a fall over Northwestern's Brendan Devine
  • Won the UNI Open with three major decisions, outscoring opponents 34-5 in his three matches
  • Went 2-2 at the Cliff Keen Invitational
  • Earned first Division-I dual win against #6 Tanner Sloan (South Dakota State), winning via 9-3 decision
