Coach DeThorne is in her seventh season on the Minnesota Cheer Staff. Prior to joining the staff, she was a four-year student-athlete on the University’s All Girl Cheer Team and senior-year captain, and worked in the Spirit Squad office as an intern. She went on to serve as a Spirit Squad Coordinator from 2018-2023.
Outside her coaching role with the cheer team, she now serves as the Varsity Spirit State Director for Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Iowa. She oversees the UCA, NCA, and V!ROC brands throughout the region in her State Director role.
