HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Platte County High School in Platte City, Missouri • wore No. 14 for the Pirates and was coached by Bill Utz • helped lead team to back-to-back state championships as a senior and as a junior • as a senior, had 64 receptions for 1,189 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns • had 21 total touchdowns and received the Otis Taylor Award as the best WR / TE in the Kansas City area • as a junior, earned all-state honors • was a two-time all-conference and all-district player • consensus three-star recruit • ranked by ESPN as the No. 111 wide receiver in the class and the No. 9 player from the state of Missouri • all-state in track for events as a junior (100m, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay) and part of relay team that broke the state record in the 4x100 relay • also competed in baseball and basketball.
