2014 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in four games • made his collegiate debut against Iowa • saw action on special teams against Ohio State and at Nebraska • assisted on one tackle at Wisconsin • Academic All-Big Ten.
2013: Redshirted • named the team's Defensive Work Team Player of the Year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Wayzata High School • led team to a 10-2 record as a senior • missed part of his senior season with an injury • tallied 62 tackles and five tackles for loss • recorded one sack and forced four fumbles • also passed one time, resulting in a 15-yard touchdown • named First-Team All-State • recorded 82 tackles in 13 games as a junior • named All-Conference and was All-State Honorable Mention • registered 18 tackles and four sacks • made two interceptions and forced three fumbles • broke up four passes and deflected four passes • played in nine games as a sophomore and made 35 tackles as team won state championship • made 19 career Prep Bowl tackles • coached by Brad Anderson • Rivals.com listed him as a two-star recruit and as the sixth-best prospect in Minnesota • Scout.com had him as a three-star recruit and as the 97th best player at his position • ESPN ranked him as the 130th best outside linebacker in the nation and the fifth best prospect in Minnesota.
