Adam Hippe is in his first season as a defensive and special teams graduate assistant at Minnesota.

Prior to assuming his current position, Hippe served as an intern with the Minnesota football program since February 2014. In that capacity he worked with Minnesota’s special teams, scout teams, helped self-scout the Gophers and created film cut-ups for the Gopher defense. 

Hippe played at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from 2009-11 before his career was cut short because of a hip injury. He then served as a student assistant coach and assistant defensive back coach from 2011-13 while earning his bachelor’s degree in health & human performance. While with the Falcons, he assisted with coverage decisions and in-game play calls, organized practice plans, made video highlights, created scouting reports and provided direct feedback to players prior to practice and games. 

Hippe also worked as an assistant coach at Wausau West High School from 2009-10 and at Wausau West Warrior Summer School Strength and Conditioning Program in 2010. In addition, he has also been a team equipment intern for the Minnesota Vikings from 2011-14. 

Hippe married his wife Anna on May 30, 2015.
