Arno Rheinberger joined the Health & Performance staff at the University of Minnesota staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in February 2017 and works primarily with Football.  

Rheinberger attended Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies in 2000.  For his graduate education, he attended the University of Wyoming and worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with Football and Wrestling from 2000 - 2002.  He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2002.

Arno spent time as a seasonal Athletic Trainer with the NFL's New York Football Giants in from May 2002 - January 2003.  He headed to Frankfurt Germany in 2003 to spend a season with NFL Europe's Frankfurt Galaxy.

Rheinberger returned to Rutgers in August 2003 and worked primarily with Football.  He also provided Athletic Trainer supervision with Volleyball, Wrestling, Track & Field and Men's LaCrosse.  He became the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine/Head Football Athletic Trainer at Western Michigan University in February 2014.  

Arno is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and MN State Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT).  He holds certification in Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Level 1 & 2, Owens Blood Flow Restriction and Gray Institute CAFS.  He is trained in Active Release Therapy Lower Extremity Level 1 and is a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).
