Donald Celiscar

Donald Celiscar joined the Minnesota football staff as a graduate assistant in January 2018. Celiscar works on the defensive side of the ball.
Celiscar started 40-of-48 games at defensive back at Western Michigan from 2011-14 and spent the 2013-14 seasons playing for current Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck. He finished his Bronco career with 10 interceptions, 45 pass breakups and 247 tackles. Celiscar and teammate Ronald Zamort led the nation in passes defended per game (1.6) in 2014. He was named First team All-MAC as a senior after finishing the year with four interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
Celiscar played against Minnesota at TCF Bank Stadium in 2012. The then-sophomore made six tackles (five solo) for the Broncos, but saw his team fall 28-23 to the Gophers.
He earned his degree in recreation at Western Michigan and participated in the 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Celiscar spent time with the Indianapolis Colts in 2015, but did not compete in any games.
