Jacob Nye

Jacob Nye joined the University of Minnesota football staff as an offensive graduate assistant in 2019. He works with the quarterbacks and wide receivers and assists with scouting and recruiting.
Nye spent the 2018 season as an intern with the Minnesota football staff and helped with opponent and practice film breakdown and on-campus recruiting. He was at Southwest Minnesota State University in 2017 where he coached receivers in addition to serving as director of game day operations, social media coordinator and community outreach director.
Nye was at his alma mater Saginaw Valley State University from 2015-17. He was an assistant coach in 2017 after previously serving as a student assistant coach. In 2017, he coached tight ends and H-backs, while also acting as the video coordinator and academic coordinator. As a student assistant, he worked with the defensive line, video coordination and recruiting.
Nye graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science from Saginaw Valley in 2016 and earned his masters of physical education from Southwest Minnesota State in 2018. He is on schedule to earn his masters of education in youth, development and leadership from Minnesota in 2019.
