Nick Murphy joined the University of Minnesota football staff in January 2020 and is the team’s Director of On-Campus Recruiting.
Murphy comes to Minnesota after one year as a graduate assistant at Charlotte where he worked with the defensive line.
Prior to his time at Charlotte, Murphy was an offensive graduate assistant at USF and worked with the offensive line during the 2018 season.
During the summer of 2018, he was a scouting intern with the Houston Texans and assisted with the evaluation of draft eligible college prospects and familiarized himself with the NFL’s college and professional player evaluation process.
The Charlotte, N.C. native was a recruiting specialist at Texas from January 2016 - September 2017.
Murphy graduated from Coastal Carolina in 2016 with a degree in recreation and sport management. While in school he was a quality control intern for the Chanticleers from 2014-15. Murphy earned his master’s degree from Texas in 2018.
