2012: Decided to retire from football during fall camp because of a recurring injury.
2011 ? FRESHMAN SEASON: Started first five games at right tackle, before missing the rest of season with an injury ? earned first varsity letter ? named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: started at right tackle in season-opener at Southern California ? helped guide an offensive line which gained 20 first downs against the Trojans ? started in Week Two vs. New Mexico State ? helped guide an offense that recorded 399 yards of total offense in week three victory over Miami (Ohio) ? started at right tackle against North Dakota State ? started at right tackle at Michigan.
2010: Redshirted.
HIGH?SCHOOL: Graduate of Irondale High School ? selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game ? helped lead his team to a 6-4 record in 2009 ? team advanced to second round of the state playoffs ? first-team Associated Press All-State selection ? Two-time All-North Suburban Conference selection ? honored as North Suburban Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2008 and 2009 ? two-time All-Metro selection ? second-team all-state as a junior in 2008 ? threw two passes last season, completing both for a total of 84 yards and a touchdown ? coached by Ben Geisler.
