HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Waseca High School in Waseca, Minn. • wore No. 1 for the Bluejays and was coached by Brad Wendland • as a senior, limited to five games because of an injury, but still totaled 867 all-purpose yards and scored 14 total touchdowns • carried the ball 38 times for 525 yards • made seven receptions for 85 yards and had six returns for 257 yards • also ran track and helped Waseca win the 2023 Class AA 4x100 and 4x200 state championships.

PERSONAL: Son of Linda and Larry Johnson • has three sisters (Kiah, Tia and Samara) • cousin, Landen Johnson, wrestled at North Dakota State.
