2016 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in eight games and started seven • recorded 39 tackles, two interceptions and six pass breakups • recorded 260 kick return yards and 32 punt return yards. Game-by-game: Started against Oregon State and recorded six tackles and two pass breakups • tallied seven tackles and recorded and returned an interception 31 yards against Iowa • intercepted a pass and broke up another at Maryland • notched five tackles against Illinois and returned two kickoffs for 52 yards • recorded two tackles against Purdue • made six tackles and broke up one pass at Nebraska • registered three tackles against Northwestern • led team with 10 tackles, recovered one fumble and returned a kick 69 yards at Wisconsin.
2015 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in all 13 games • made 13 tackles, including 1.0 tackle-for-loss • broke up a pass • served as team's primary returner during final half of the season • recorded 328 all-purpose yards (sixth on team) • returned 11 kickoffs and nine punts • named the team's Outstanding Defensive Freshman of the Year. Game-by-Game: Tallied one tackle in first career game against TCU • saw action at Colorado State, versus Kent State, against Ohio, at Northwestern and versus Michigan, but did not record any statistics • returned a punt and competed on special teams at Purdue • participated on special teams and brought back a punt 14 yards against Nebraska • saw extensive action on defense, recording five tackles with one coming behind the line of scrimmage, and returned a punt for 11 yards at Ohio State • made a tackle and returned a punt eight yards at Iowa • tallied five tackles, one pass breakup and totaled 165 return yards - the most a Gopher has had since 2009 - versus Illinois • returned five kickoffs for 102 yards and added a solo tackle against Wisconsin • returned three punts for 28 yards versus Central Michigan.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Webb City High School (same school Coach Kill led to a state title in 1989, school has won 13 state championships since 1989) • as a senior led team to 15-0 record and state championship, which was the fifth straight for the Cardinals • made 32 tackles and notched one interception as a senior • caught 32 passes for 684 yards and eight touchdowns • totaled 1,224 all-purpose yards (236 rushing, 684 receiving, 213 kick return and 91 punt return) • completed his only pass for 46 yards • played in 15 games as a junior and recorded 41 tackles and eight interceptions • caught 24 passes for 458 yards and 11 touchdowns • totaled 743 all-purpose yards (79 rushing, 458 receiving, 126 kick return, 58 punt return and 22 interception return) • as a sophomore he notched 30 tackles and seven interceptions • finished his career with 56 catches for 1,142 yards 19 receiving touchdowns and 29 total touchdowns • coached by John Rederique • ranked as a three-star prospect by ESPN and 247Sports, while Rivals and Scout gave him two stars • 247Sports listed him as the No. 17 recruit in Missouri and the No. 113 cornerback in the nation, while ESPN had him as the 21st-best player in Missouri and as the 150th-best cornerback • also a standout track athlete and as a senior he won a state title in the 100M (10.71) and finished second in the 400M (48.14) and anchored Webb City's second place 4x200M relay (1:28.32) • won the 200M (21.50) as a junior.
