2017 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Started two of the nine games he played in and caught two passes for 43 yards - Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota and collegiate debut against Maryland - saw extensive action at Purdue - caught two passes (the first of his career) for 43 yards against Michigan State - competed against Illinois - started at Iowa and at Michigan - competed against Nebraska, at Northwestern and against Wisconsin.Â

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Jackson High School in Jackson, Ala. - helped lead Aggies to a 13-1 record as a senior, a 6-0 mark in region play and a berth in the Class 5A state semifinals - named First Team All-State after accounting for more than 3,300 yards of offense and 41 touchdowns - as a junior, passed for 1,145 yards and 13 scores and also rushed for 542 yards and seven scores - as a sophomore, passed for 176 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 70 yards and one score in relief duty of now-Georgia Tech quarterback Matthew Jordan - finished his high school career with a 24-4 record as a starter - coached by Danny Powell - also lettered in basketball and baseball - ranked as a two-star recruit by Rivals, 247Sports and Scout.
