2017 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Started two of the the eight games he played in • helped protect for an offense that rushed for 2,189 yards and 20 touchdowns and passed for 1,513 yards and nine scores • offensive line allowed only 22 sacks and 62 tackles for loss • Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Competed at Oregon State • made his first career start at left guard against Middle Tennessee • saw extensive action as a reserve guard against Michigan State and helped provide coverage for team to pass for 216 yards and three touchdowns • competed on special teams against Illinois and at Michigan • started at right tackle against Nebraska and blocked for an offense that rushed for 409 yards (eighth most in school history) and six touchdowns (most since 2013) • saw action as a reserve at Northwestern • competed against Wisconsin.
2016 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Made his season and collegiate debut on offense at Illinois • competed against Northwestern and at Wisconsin.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, where he helped the Cyclones win back-to-back Class 5A state titles in 2013 and 2014 • ended his high school career on a 28-game winning streak • named to the Champaign News-Gazette’s 79th All-State Team • earned all-state and All-Central State Eight status • blocked for a team that scored 716 points in 14 games (51.1 per game) in 2014 • coached by Ken Leonard • also lettered in track • was a three-star recruit by Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports and Scout • 247Sports rated him the No. 11 prospect in Illinois, Rivals had him at No. 21 and ESPN at No. 24 • Scout listed him the second-best offensive tackle prospect in the state • among offensive tackles, he was rated No. 68 by 247Sports and No. 97 by ESPN.
