2016 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in 11 games • made seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack • Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Played against Indiana State and made one tackle • saw action against Penn State • recorded one tackle against Iowa • competed against Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue and Nebraska • made three tackles and one sack against Northwestern • totaled one tackle for loss at Wisconsin • made one tackle against Washington State.
2015 • JUNIOR SEASON: Played in eight games and started four • made 14 tackles, including 2.5 behind the line of scrimmage • added a sack for a loss of three yards • Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Recorded three tackles, including first career sack, at Purdue • competed but did not record a statistic versus Nebraska • notched a pair of tackles against Michigan • started and tallied three tackles at Ohio State • started and registered a tackle at Iowa • made a solo stop along the defensive line versus Illinois • tallied three tackles, including 1.0 tackle-for-loss, against Wisconsin • started and recorded one solo tackle versus Central Michigan.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Fort Walton Beach High School • ranked as a four-star prospect and as the No. 83 defensive tackle prospect in the nation by ESPN • compiled a total of 27 tackles and one sack as a senior • recorded 48 total stops and two sacks as a junior in 2010 • named first-team all-area by the Northwest Florida Daily News • named a member of the 2011 Daily News Dandy Dozen • state qualifier in the shot put and member of his high school's weight lifting team.
PERSONAL: Born July 18, 1993 • son of Yoshoub Timms and Latonya Byas • has already earned his degree in business marketing and education • working on a certificate program in human resource development.
