2019 Cross Country • Freshman Season: Did not see action during the 2019 cross country season.
2020 Indoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: Redshirted the 2020 indoor season • competed unattached in the 800 meters and the 4x400 meter relay • recorded three top-10 finishes • finished fourth in the 800 meters at the UW-Stout Open • posted a third-place showing in the 4x400 meter relay and a seventh-place finish in the 800 meters at the Jack Johnson Classic.
2020 Outdoor Track & Field • Freshman Season: The 2020 outdoor track & field season was canceled on March 12, 2020, when the Big Ten and NCAA announced they were ceasing competitions and championships because of COVID-19 public health concerns.
High School: A graduate of Woodbury High School • a four-time all-state selection in track & field and a six-time all-conference pick (one in cross country, five in track & field) • led the Royals with a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters at the 2019 MSHSL Class AA State Track & Field Championships • the 2019 Surburban East Conference champion in the 800 meters • graduated as the Woodbury High School record holder in the 800 meters (1:55.46) • high school teammate of fellow Gopher Mason Roomes • coached as a prep by Jeff Burkart and Mark Andrews.
Personal: A native of Woodbury, Minn. • son of David and Cheryl Wittman • has one brother, Luke • brother competed in track & field and cross country at St. John's University • plans to study business.
