2010 • Sophomore Season: Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors • member of the Gopher squad who finished 27th at the NCAA championships, where he finished 198th overall (32:07.5) and fifth on the team • took 20th overall with a time of 21:22.4 at the BYU Autumn 4K Race • came in at 25:20.0 (46th overall) at the Roy Griak Invite • ran at the Pre-NCAA meet finishing 93rd overall, with a time of 24:57.4 for the Gophers • took 30th (24:31.4) at the Big Ten Championships • ran to a 39th place finish at the NCAA Midwest meet, posting a time of 31:05.66 in the 10K race • earned his second letter.

2009 • Redshirt Freshman Season: The Gophers[apos] top runner (25:41.0), 27th overall, at Jim Drews Invitational • team[apos]s number-five runner (26:06.5), 59th overall, in Griak Invitational • an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

2008 • Freshman Season: Redshirted the season.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Perham High School • high school coach was Jeff Morris • led Perham to back-to-back Minnesota Class A cross country titles in 2006 and 2007 • 2006 state cross country individual titlist (15:54.9) • runner-up in 2007 • 15th as a sophomore when Perham finished fourth as a team • five-time all-state performer on the track • state runner-up in the 3,200 meters both his junior and senior seasons, sixth as a sophomore • placed third in the 1,600 meters in 2008, fourth in 2007 • four-time letterwinner in cross country and track • 2008 Perham Athlete of the Year • a member of the National Honor Society.
