2023-24 Sophomore Season:Ā Won Most Improved and Outstanding Student-Athlete Awards at the team banquetā¦Ā Big Tens: Competed in the 200 breast prelims (1:58.43), 100 fly (52.54), 200 IM (1:47.07), and 400 IM prelims (3:48.80)... Purdue/Northwestern Tri-Dual: Placed fifth in the 200 free (1:39.08) and sixth in the 400 IM (3:53.74)... Pitt Dual: Finished fifth (1:40.85) and third (1:58.35) in the 200 frees while also finishing fifth (1:51.94) in the 200 IM⦠Tampa Dual: Earned fifth during the 200 free (1:43.66) and second in the 400 IM (4:05.14)... Prep: A four-year letterwinner at Fort Collins High School ⦠earned all-state honors in 2021 and was an All-American that year in the 200 free ⦠broke school records in both the 200 free and 100 breast ⦠also was a four-year letterwinner in golf ⦠was a three-time academic all-state honoree in both swimming and golf ⦠swam for the Fort Collins Area Swim Team since 2013 ⦠has competed at sectionals and is planning to go to Junior Nationals in December ⦠with his club team, set program records nine times across five different events (200 free, 3x; 500 free, 2x; 100 breast; 200 breast; 400 IM; 2x)
Personal: Parents are Beth and Mike Ballard ⦠has two older siblings, Molly and Max ⦠enjoys skiing and surfing
