2020-21 Freshman Season: Finished 28th in the 1650 free (15:41.06) and 32nd in the 200 fly (1:49.17) at the 2021 Big Ten Championships · touched sixth in 1000 free (9:34.39) versus Iowa.
High School: A 2020 graduate of Falls Church H.S. · USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in both 2018 & 2019 · four-event qualifier at state from 2017-20 · tied his best state finish at the 2019 Virginia 5A State Championships in the 500 free, finishing fifth overall (4:42.32) · also finished fifth in the 100 fly (51.22) at the 2018 Virginia 5A State Championships · holds school records in five events: 200 free, 500 free, 100 fly, 200 IM & 200 medley relay · All-Conference first team selection & All-Met Honorable Mention from 2017-20 · earned team MVP award & letterwinner in swimming all four years of HS.
Personal: Native of Annandale, Va. · member of the Nation’s Capital Swim Club-MD · parents are Tina & Alan Goldblatt · mother Tina, swam collegiately at the University of Chicago, and sister Allison, currently competes for the University of North Carolina’s swimming & diving program · lists favorite sports moment as the men’s 4x100 meter free relay at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing · wants to pursue a career in therapy · hobbies include watching horror movies and spending time with his cats.
