2019-20 Sophomore Season: Qualified for finals and placed 12th in the platform (592.05) and 18th in the one-meter (522.75) at the NCAA Zone D Championships · finished 18th in the platform (262.15), 19th in the one-meter (263.10) and 21st in the three-meter (267.40) at the Big Ten Championships · qualified for finals and finished 11th in the one-meter (269.45) at the Minnesota Invite · placed sixth in the three-meter (304.35) and seventh in the one-meter (262.43) against Wisconsin · finished sixth in the one-meter (291.15) and ninth in the three-meter (264.45) at the Florida dual · Academic All-Big Ten · Second Team CSCAA Scholar All-American.

2018-19 Freshman Season: Finished eighth in the 1-meter dive (283.15) and ninth in the 3-meter dive (267.40) against Iowa and South Dakota State. • Took eighth in the 1-meter dive (241.88) and eighth in the 3-meter dive (249.68) against FSU.

Personal: Son of Doug and Helen Phillip • Doug dove at Auburn University from 1985-1989 • Helen dove at Clarion University from 1986-1990 • Has one brother and one sister; Matthew Phillip and Megan Phillip • Megan also dives for the University of Minnesota • Matthew attended LSU and was a part of its diving program • Plans to major in business.
