Indoor: At the 2015 Minnesota Open, finished runner up in the shot put event with a throw of 17.31 meters (57-0.0 ft.) - in a dual at Wisconsin, placed second in the shot put with a throw of 18.14 meters (59-06.25 ft.) which stands as a new personal record - finished 2nd at the 2015 Jack Johnson Classic in the shot put with a throw of 17.91 meters (58-09.25) - finished 1st in the shot put at the 2015 Snowshoe Open with a throw of 18.50 meters (60-08.50) - at the 2015 B1G Indoor Championships, placed 4th in his flight for the shot put with a throw of 18.60 meters (61-00.25). Indoor: Took first at the Snowshoe Open in shot put with a throw of 57-11 (17.65m) - saw another first place finish at the Jack Johnson Classic with throw of 57-10 1/4 (17.63m) - finished first at the Northwest Open with a throw of 56-00 1/2 (17.08m)- threw 55-02 (16.81m) at the Husker Invitational. Outdoor: NCAA West Preliminary competitor in shot put- finished eighth at Big Ten Championships with a throw of 58-01 1/2 (17.71m)- took second in shot put at the USCD Triton Invite- finished seventh in discus at the Stanford Invitational and NDSU Tune Up- threw 164-07 (50.17m) at the Hamline Invitational- earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors- Academic All-Big Ten.
2012 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Indoor: Competed in a total of six events for the indoor season - threw 56-6 3/4 (17.24m) in the shot put at the Big Ten Championships (13th) - finished second at the Northwest Open with a throw of 57-2 (17.42m) - placed third at the Iowa State Classic (58-1 3/4), Jack Johnson Classic, and Snowshoe Open. Outdoor: NCAA West Preliminary competitor in the discus and shot put - finished eighth in discus at the Big Ten Championships (177-2) - also threw the shot 56-4 3/4, finishing 13th - won the shot put at the Bolstorff Twilight (53-5, 16.28m) - placed second at the Aztec Invite with a throw of 55-7 1/2 (16.95m) - placed third in the discus at the Bolstorff Twilight with a throw of 167-11 (51.19m) - Academic All-Big Ten.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2011 graduate of Linn Mar High School- high school coaches were Matt Casebolt and Ken Hopkins - lettered twice in football and track/field - participated in the 2011 US Junior National Meet placing 12th in the discus - career best in the shot put was 56-3 f and 172-2 in the discus.
PERSONAL
Born on April 22, 1992 - son of Scott and JoAnne Jennings - mother played volleyball at Purdue (1979-82) - father threw shot put at Illinois (1978-81) - has two brothers Criag and Jason - Craig was a javelin thrower at Iowa (2006-09) - majoring in Finance and Accounting - enjoys playing video games such as Call of Duty and Rock Band.
