High School: A 2016 graduate of Woodbury High School • 2016 MSHSL Class AA state champion in triple jump, runner-up in the long jump, and third-place finisher in the 200 meters • scored 30 of Woodbury’s 34 points at the state meet, leading the Royals to a third-place team finish as a senior • his winning triple jump cleared 48-11.25 ft. – a personal record • was the state runner-up in the triple jump as a junior • won a gold medal in the triple jump and a bronze medal in the long jump at the 2014 AAU Junior Olympics • coached as a prep by Lane Swansson and Jim Scott.
Personal: Son of Rolando and Sandra Roomes • father played professional baseball and was an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds during the organization’s run to the 1990 World Series.
