2023 Outdoor Track & Field • Graduate Season: Made the best of his final season at the college level, earning All-America status for the first time in his career in the hammer throw... Finished sixth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw with a lifetime best 72.40m (237-6), nearly 13 full meters further than his personal best at his previous school (Penn)... At the national meet threw three different lifetime bests to cap off his college career in the hammer throw... Helped Minnesota finish in the top 20 as a team at the NCAA Championships for the third-straight year... Earned a bronze medal at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Bloomington, Ind., with a toss of 69.08m (226-8)... Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a hammer throw mark of 69.73m (228-9) to place fifth in Sacramento... Scored in the discus for the second straight year at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the discus with a throw of 56.40m (185-0)... 2022 Outdoor Track & Field • Redshirt Senior Season: Was a competitor for Minnesota in 10 different outdoor meets during his first season back in the state of Minnesota... Made his official Gopher debut at the Black and Gold Invite where he was third in both the discus and hammer throw... Made a big jump at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight in the hammer throw with a throw of 66.12m (216-11) which was just shy of breaking into the program top 10 in the event... Qualified for the NCAA West Regional in both the discus and the hammer throw for the first time in his career... Finished 17th in the hammer throw at the NCAA West Regional with a throw of 64.20m (210-7) and 44th in the discus... Scored in both the discus and hammer throw at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, throwing a mark of 65.97m (216-5) in the hammer throw to finish fifth... Threw a season-best 55.42m (181-10) in the discus at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships to finish sixth overall... Won the discus throw at the 2022 Kip Janvrin Open... Was third at the 2022 ASU Invitational in the hammer throw with a toss of 64.99m (213-3).
Prior to Minnesota: Spent four season at the University of Pennsylvania • earned second-team All-Ivy honors at the 2020 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships with a second place finish in the weight throw • set the indoor program record in the weight throw in 2020 at 19.57m • sits fifth on the school’s all-time list in the hammer throw at 59.83m • recorded four event wins and 37 top-five finishes over five competitive seasons (2018-20 Indoor, 2018-19 Outdoor).
High School: A 2017 graduate of North St. Paul High School • two-time MSHSL Boys Class AA State Champion in the discus from 2016-17, also taking the runner-up spot in the shot put during the 2017 state championships • four-time Metro East Conference Champion, taking the discus title from 2015-17 and adding the shot put title in 2017 • took third in the discus at the 2016 USATF Junior Nationals • two-time all-state, three-time all-section and four-time all-conference honoree • holds school records in both the discus and shot put • also played football (2014-17) and hockey (2014-16).
Personal: Son of Joe and Denise Kubiatowicz • has two siblings, Luke and Erik • is pursuing his Master of Education degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
