2014 · Redshirt Junior Season: Named Academic All-Big Ten · ran five races · placed among the top six Gophers at three meets · led the Gophers and placed 18th overall at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invite in a season-best 22:58.1 · finished 13th on the team in 24:21.7 at the Griak Invitational · finished sixth on the team in the open race at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational in 23:05 · placed 11th on the team and 18th overall in 23:37.5 at Jack's Run · finished sixth on the team and 14th overall at Rocky's Run in 24:19.
2013 · Redshirt Sophomore Season: Did not compete.
2012 · Redshirt Freshman Season: Season-best time of 22:03.01 came at the Blugold Invite, where she finished seventh (third on team) · sixth female finisher at Rocky's Run · ran in six races total.
2011 · Freshman Season: Redshirted the 2011 cross country season.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Iowa City High School · high school coaches were Tom Mittman, Thos Trefz and Terry Coleman · cross country team placed second in the state of Iowa in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons · placed third individually in the state meet · lettered all four years in cross country and track · also participated in show, jazz and concert choir · was in the drumline · was a member of the National Honor Society · school record-holder in the 4000m · anchored the champion 4x800m relay team at the Drake Relays as a senior.
Personal: Born November 14, 1992 · majoring in Spanish, Portuguese and global studies · daughter of David and Ellen Rethwisch · has four sisters, Kate, Abby, Amanda and Mary, and one brother, John Paul· enjoys the ukelele, crepes, traveling and family.
