On the Track: Competes in the 800 meters, 600 meters, 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles ? ran a season-best time of 1:34.42 in the 600m at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships ? finished 13th in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships ? won the 600 meters at the 2012 Parents Day Open (1:36.95) ? competed in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a season-best time of 1:02.07 ? won the 400m hurdles at the 2012 Hamline Twilight (1:02.13) ? two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree ? redshirted both the 2011 indoor and outdoor track seasons.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Brainerd High School ? high school track and field coaches were Dan Clabo and Howie Jacobs ? finished third in the 300 meter hurdles (44.47) and eighth in the 100 meter hurdles (15.04) at the 2010 Minnesota Class AA state meet ? also competed in both hurdle events in the 2008 and 2009 state meets ? two-time Central Lakes Conference champion in 300m hurdles ? school record-holder in 300m hurdles ? also an all-conference soccer player and gymnast ? named Female Athlete of the Year at Brainerd HS ? academic all-state honoree ? National Honor Society member.

Personal: Born July 28, 1992 ? intends to major in business or finance ? daughter of Patrick and Kelly Smith ? has three sisters: Samantha, Johanna, and Chloe ? her father played football for St. Cloud State ? her sister Samantha is a gymnast for Winona State ? enjoys rollerblading and spending time on the lake.
