2015 - Redshirt Sophomore Season: Ran five races - ran a career-best 22:47.98 as the second Gopher in 18th place overall at the Tori Neubauer Invitational - finished third on the team and 26th overall at the Blugold Invitational (23:19.0) - placed 14th overall as the fifth Gopher at Rocky's Run (24:40.3).

2014 - Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran two races - made her Gopher debut at the Tori Neubauer Invitational, finishing her first collegiate 6K in 24:07 as the seventh Gopher for 84th place overall - placed 10th on the team and 17th overall at Jack's Run in a career-best 23:31.7.

2013 - Freshman Season: Redshirted the 2013 cross country season and the 2014 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

High School: A 2013 graduate of Andover High School - three-time Minnesota all-state cross country runner - owns two conference titles, four section titles, a fourth-place state finish and two seventh-place state finishes - competed in the 3,200m in the state track & field meet - holds Andover school records in the 4K (14:32), 3,200m (11:16) and 4x800m relay.

Personal: Born October 24, 1994 - major is biology, society, and the environment - daughter of Tim and Beth Barten - has two brothers, Andrew Heitzman and Garrett Barten - brother Andrew ran cross country at the University of St. Thomas - enjoys traveling and volunteering at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital.
