Greg Adrian joined the Gopher women's hockey program staff as director of hockey operations in July 2017. He joined Gopher Athletics after spending two seasons in the same role for the women's hockey team at the University of Vermont.
During his time with the Catamounts, Adrian managed the team's travel and meals and provided video and statistical support, including tagging and breaking down game film for review and analysis and scouting of opponents.
Adrian worked in a Hockey Technologies position with The Rinks at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, N.Y., prior to his time at Vermont. He managed and maintained quality control of all technologies relating to hockey for more than 20 youth tournaments, the 2015 NHL Scouting Combine, and the 2015 IIHF Women's Under-18 World Championship.
In addition, Adrian's experience includes serving as a team assistant working with video and statistical analytics for the men's hockey team at Canisius College during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons, during which he filmed and coded practices and games for further analysis. Adrian served as a marketing and promotional fulfillment intern with the NHL's Buffalo Sabres during the 2010-11 season, and he also brings two seasons of high school junior varsity hockey coaching experience with him to the Gophers.
A native of Williamsville, N.Y., Adrian graduated from Daemen College with a degree in sport management in 2011. He completed his master's degree in sport administration at Canisius College in 2013.
