2016 Cross Country • Redshirt Sophomore Season: Ran in six meets this season • finished fourth overall at the Blugold Invite with a time of 23:01.6 • recorded a season-best 6K time of 22:16.1 at Jack’s Run as the ninth Gopher in 11th place overall.

2017 Indoor • Redshirt Sophomore Season: Ran five races • ran career-best times in the 1,000m (3:02.80) as runner-up at the UST Showcase and in the mile (5:08.09) at the Parents Day Invite.

2017 Outdoor • Redshirt Sophomore Season: Ran six races • ran a career-best 2:18.86 in the 800m to place sixth at the Holst Invitational • took seventh in the 1,500m in a season-best 4:43.29 at the Hamline Invite • won the 3,000m at the Janis Rider Invitational in a career-best 10:17.04.

2015 Cross Country • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran six races • placed 12th on the team at the Oz Memorial (24:20.1) and the Griak Invitational (24:17.1) • led the Gophers in fourth overall at the Blugold Invitational in a season-best 22:35.9 • placed sixth on the team and 43rd overall in the open race at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (23:13.5) • finished 42nd overall and ninth among females at Jack’s Run (23:47.2) • placed third on the team and seventh overall at Rocky’s Run (24:12.6).

2016 Indoor • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran five races, recording career-best times in the 1000m (3:06.25) and 3,000m (10:07.02) • ran a season best 5:13.43 in the mile to place 15th at the Jack Johnson Classic.

2016 Outdoor • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran four races • finished third in the 5,000m in a career-best 18:06.64 at the Holst Invitational • ran a season-best 4:41.75 to place ninth in the 1,500m at the Kip Janvrin Open.

2014 Cross Country • Freshman Season: Competed in five races as an unattached runner.

2015 Track & Field • Freshman Season: Competed unattached during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

High School: A 2014 graduate of Chanhassen High School • six-time letterwinner in both cross country and track & field • four-time All-Missota Conference runner • five-time cross country state meet participant • finished 35th at the 2013 Minnesota Class AA state cross country championship to help Chanhassen to a fourth-place team finish • two-time track & field state meet participant • state champion in the 3,200m in a Chanhassen school record 10:26 at the 2014 Minnesota Class AA State Championship • placed 10th at the Minnesota Class AA State Championship in the 4x800m relay as both a junior and a senior • holds Chanhassen school records in the 800m (2:17.80), 1,600m (4:56.59), 3,200m and 4x800m relay • five-time letterwinner in Nordic skiing • National Honor Society member • finished with 4.0 grade point average.

Personal: Born May 23, 1996 • daughter of Paul and Tamara Castanias • has two older sisters, Christine and Jennifer • enjoys painting, drawing and baking • environmental engineering major.
