Adam Chier joined the Athletic Performance staff at the University of Minnesota in 2020 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Performance working with Men’s & Women’s Track & Field: Sprints/Jumps/Hurdles/Multis, Gymnastics, Men's Golf.  He also assists with Men's and Women's Basketball. 

Adam attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and earned his Bachelor of Science & Education degree in Health & Human Performance in 2018.  While at UW-Whitewater, Adam was a student intern assisting with Softball, Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Track & Field, Volleyball, Football and Men’s & Women’s Basketball.  Chier completed a volunteer internship with the University of Wisconsin Football program in 2017 and has private work experience with Northstar Sports Performance. 

Chier was a professional intern at the University of Minnesota working with Volleyball, Softball and Gymnastics from 2019-2020.  He also completed his graduate education at the U of M earning his Master of Education degree in Sport & Exercise Science in 2019. 

Chier is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and a USTFCCCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (SCC).  He is also trained in Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Level 1.
