Alexandra Wulbecker-Smith, L.P.C. is a licensed mental health provider who specializes in sport and health psychology.


Alexandra is from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and earned her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy with a minor in Psychology while playing Division I softball for Northern Illinois University.  She went on to obtain her Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology (M. Ed) with a certificate in Sports Management from Northern Illinois, and her Master’s in Counseling (M.A.) with an emphasis in Sport and Health from Adler University in Chicago.

She has provided mental health and sport performance services to athletes of all ages including youth, college, and professional athletes. She has also facilitated programming and workshops for teams, coaches, parents, and athletic support staff.

Alexandra runs the UMN Beyond The U: Life After Sport group which is a workshop series that focuses on the experiences and challenges many student-athletes face as they transition out of sport. She also leads the mental health awareness events and outreach efforts within Athletics. 

Alexandra is currently working towards both her Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) certification and Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification.
