Bryan Whitlock joined the Athletic Performance staff at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Director of Athletic Performance in May 2021.  Whitlock is the performance coach for the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, Men’s & Women’s Throws, Women’s Tennis, programs and assists with Men’s & Women’s Hockey.

Whitlock attended the University of Mount Union and completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Was a Graduate Assistant at Gardner-Webb University and completed his graduate education with a Master of Arts in Sports Education.
As a Graduate Assistant, Whitlock assisted with football and had sole responsibility for cheerleading, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s track and field, and men’s and women’s swimming.

Whitlock is Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), and a USA-Weightlifting Level 1 Coach.
