Dr. Adam Gallenberg is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) who specializes in sport and performance psychology. He is from Rochester, Minnesota, and completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Drake University. He then earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and the University of Iowa, respectively. He strives to help athletes develop a growth mindset, enhance motivation, and promote positive coping skills for a variety of sport performance concerns and personal growth needs.

Outside of his work with the University, Dr. Adam serves as a sport and performance psychologist for the Minnesota Timberwolves and is listed on the National Basketball Players Association Directory of Mental Health Service Providers.

His research specializes in exercise psychology, addressing how the mind-body connection impacts peak performance, help-seeking attitudes, and mental health. Throughout his graduate programs, Dr. Adam boxed in the amateurs, then went on to coach MMA fighters and boxers at the amateur and professional levels. He holds his coaching certification through USA Boxing, and his athletic, coaching, and clinical experience provides a holistic perspective to the physical and mental needs of athletes.
