Emily Oberlander is the equipment manager for the University of Minnesota Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. She also helps with Minnesota Cheer/Dance and Spirit Squad. She oversees all the daily operations of each of the program’s
equipment needs.
Oberlander began her time at Minnesota in 2007 as a student manager for the Gopher Women’s Basketball team for four years. She then went to work as an intern for the Minnesota Lynx and fulfilled the duties of the Director of Basketball Operations for their championship season in 2011.
Since 2012, Oberlander has been with Minnesota Equipment and has worked with her primary sports but has also assisted with almost every other sport at Minnesota.
During her time with the Lynx, Oberlander completed her Masters of Education in Applied Sports Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota after finishing her Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
Oberlander is currently AEMA (Athletic Equipment Manager Association) certified.
