Coordinator of Defensive Scouting

Joe Ready was named Coordinator of Player Personnel in January 2025 and then was named Coordinator of Defensive Scouting in February 2025. He was previously a Minnesota recruiting assistant in 2024 and was a defensive intern during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

During his time at Minnesota, Ready has assisted the coaching staff in game preparation and scouting and has focused on evaluating film of high school recruits and transfer portal prospects. He has also provided feedback of current roster needs and development of players on the Minnesota roster, tracked recruits who are committed to the Gophers, assisted the recruiting staff for unofficial, official and game day visits, updated recruiting areas for full time assistant coaches and helped assist NFL scouts on their visits.

Ready graduated from Cornell University in December 2021. While in college, he was a manager for the football team. There he assisted in recruiting, helped scout opponents and provided information to the defensive coordinator.
