Katie Chen joined the Health & Performance staff at the University of Minnesota in June 2022 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working with Football.

Originally from Claremont, CA, Katie attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. While at Minnesota, she worked as a student intern with Gopher Football from 2017 – 2020. Chen then attended Boston University and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in May 2022. She was a medical volunteer for the 2022 Boston Marathon.

Katie is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Minnesota State Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT). She holds certification in Dry Needling Level 1.
