Katie (Meyer) Shane joined Gopher Sports Marketing in November 2021 as a Marketing Coordinator and was promoted to Assistant Director of Marketing in July of 2023. She serves as the primary marketing contact for Men's Hockey and Women's Hockey, while also overseeing Goldy’s Kids Club and Gopher Garden on home football gamedays.

Prior to working for Minnesota, Shane was a Jr. Marketing & Communications Specialist for the Fargo Park District. She was also an undergraduate intern at the University of North Dakota for three years, aiding in all gameday marketing promotions for men’s hockey and football, while assisting with various men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and soccer games.

Shane has also worked in ticketing and guest services with the Minnesota Wild, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, WeFest Country Music Festival and the NCHC’s Frozen Faceoff Fan Fest.

A native of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Shane received her bachelor's degree in Marketing and a Sports Business Minor from the University of North Dakota in 2019. She enjoys staying active and being outdoors.
