Matt Childers was named director of video at Minnesota in January 2017. Childers and his staff manage all day-to-day video operations for the football program.Â
Childers came to Minnesota after serving as the video coordinator at Western Michigan since the conclusion of the 2013 season. He was the video services coordinator at his alma mater, Idaho from 2011-13. As a student with the Vandals, Childers worked as the assistant video coordinator from 2004-09.Â
Outside of athletics, Childers was a production assistant on the feature film "Coldwood" in May of 2010.
Childers, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, and his wife, Paula, have four children (Denali, Bristol, Brooks and Kodi).
